Can you answer this question within 30 seconds…
Why do you do what you do?
The majority of us have found ourselves with extra distractions over the past while, both personally and in business. You may feel like your days and weeks fly by as you just try and keep up as work blends with home and family. One thing you likely haven’t stopped to think about lately is your WHY.
Now is a crucial time to revisit this.
WHY did you choose this profession or start this business?
WHY would clients want to work with you?
WHY do you make this a priority in your life?
In the first module of my Rethink Marketing program, I ask participants to answer “What are you selling?”
The initial response is “well if I don’t know what I’m even selling, I really shouldn’t be here!”
But what I mean when I ask that, is not what WIDGIT you sell or what service you offer, but what PROBLEM do you solve? Like Simon Sinek said in his famous TED Talk, “people don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it.”
PEOPLE DON’T BUY WHAT YOU DO, THEY BUY WHY YOU DO IT.
More simply - your prospects don’t care so much about the features of what you’re selling. They just want you to tell them how it will make their life better.
My WHY
I know you have great things to offer the world but may just need support in connecting with those clients you can best serve.
When you reflect on your WHY, it shouldn’t change. The way you go about business may change, but not your WHY.
